Chrys's passion and drive to tell stories has led her to become an international acclaimed and best-selling Author and successful Screenwriter/Director. She is passionate about creating stories that engage audiences and evoke emotions, through her relatable and authentic characters that have true identities, voices and life choices.

Praised and revered for her success and contributions within the industry, Phillips soared to acclaim as a respected and well-known Writer & Director with the success of her TV Drama Series Counter Play which aired on Australia’s Nine Network 2018-2020 and worldwide on streaming platform Amazon Prime. 

Since then, Chrys and her production company have had a first-look deal with Nine Network Australia.

Masterfully transitioning from TV to Film, the YA feel-good summer flick Madison and the Happiness Jar marks Chrys's feature directorial debut. The movie which was shot during 2020 pandemic, premiered in June 2021 to five star reviews on SVOD Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Roku & SKY Q. It will air to Australian audiences in 2022 on Nine Network.

In 2021, Chrys directed her second feature film; the gritty, rock n roll dramedy The Rise of Billy Jones and closed out the year with numerous award nominations, including a Directors Guild Award win for Best Direction in a Movie Made for TV or SVOD.

In 2022 Chrys was a judge for the prestigious International Business Awards: Stevie Awards and part of the awards jury for the Sydney Web Film Festival.
